Pay Contactless (CARD OR DEVICE) with SwipeOnLake
SwipeOnLake is a new way to access and purchase ASF tickets on ASF lines.
You can use your credit, debit, or prepaid card, as well as your smartphone or contactless-enabled wearable device, to travel on ASF Autolinee urban services in Como.
How to use SwipeOnLake
To travel with SwipeOnLake, simply tap your contactless card on the green validator on board.
The system will show a confirmation message and emit an audio signal. No paper receipt is issued.
If the validator shows a red light and an error message appears on the screen: the card has not been accepted and the journey is not valid. In this case, you will need to buy a ticket on board from the driver, with an extra cost.
You can also pay for other passengers travelling with you: within 5 minutes from your first tap, you can purchase additional tickets by tapping the green validator once for each passenger.
Please note:
- No paper receipts are provided.
- A red signal means the card has not been validated.
- On-board ticket purchases from the driver include a surcharge.
- The fare is calculated and charged a few days after your trip.
Passenger Portal
By registering on the Passenger Portal, you can view a list of your payments and receive an email notification after each “Swipe,” including the date and time, details of the ticket purchased, and the fare charged.
The portal also allows you to pay any outstanding amounts in order to reactivate your card in the system.
Fares available with contactless payment
Urban lines ticket purchase
The contactless system applies the Urban Area Ticket, valid for 90 minutes, at a cost of €2.00.
If, during the same day (from the first tap until 24:00), three taps are made with the same contactless card at least 91 minutes apart, the system will automatically apply the best fare, charging €5.00. This corresponds to the Urban Area Day Ticket for Como (valid only on city bus lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12).
The Urban Area Ticket allows unlimited travel until 24:00 within the following municipalities:
Como, Maslianico, Cernobbio, Casnate con Bernate, San Fermo della Battaglia, Senna Comasco, and Navedano, using ASF urban bus services.
Suburban lines ticket purchase
With SwipeOnLake, you can purchase a ticket on board ASF Como suburban buses with NO EXTRA COST: simply tap your contactless card on the green validator (VPE) on board.
The SwipeOnLake service is now available with the following flat fares:
- C110 – Como – Menaggio: 4,80 €
- C130 – Como – Bellagio: 4,30 €
- C140 – Como – Lecco: 4,00 €
- C145 – Como – Inverigo – Cantù: 4,30 €
- C146 – Como – Merate: 4,80 €
- C149 – Asso – Como: 3,50 €
- C150 – Como – Cantù: 2,70 €
- C160 – Como – Bregnano: 2,90 €
- C170 – Como – Appiano: 3,30 €
- C174 – Como – Rodero: 3,50 €
- C180 – Cantù – Monza: 4,30 €
The system automatically applies the correct fare based on the selected line.
Ticket validity:
A ticket purchased with a contactless card is valid for the duration of a single journey.
There is no need to tap out when getting off the bus.
