Sanctions

Article 46 of Regional Law No. 6 of April 4, 2012 provides new penalty values for users of public transportation services, which are reduced to amounts ranging from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 50 times the ticket price.

These are the details of the penalty amounts as of 01/01/2025:

If you have left home your pass/card and you get fined, you may recur to the “forgetfulness penalty”.
If you own a valid TICKET and card, but you were not able to show it when you got fined, you can go with your ticket and card by 5 days from the date of the sanction to the corporate ticket office in Piazza Matteotti in Como or to the Menaggio ticket office during the hours provided by the URP counter. Showing them the original of the monthly or annual ticket valid at the time of the fine you’ll pay 5€ only.

The offender or the other responsible parties, in addition to requesting the person who ascertains the infraction to include in the report any of his or her observations may, within the term of thirty days from the date of the objection or notification of the violation, send to the management of the company at the Como office at 16/18 via Asiago, defensive writings and documents and may ask to be heard by the same management with the caveat that in any case the terms provided for the payment of this report are not interrupted or extended .

In addition, the offender or other responsible parties may appeal to the Justice of the Peace in the manner and within the terms provided by the laws in force.

In case of abuse of identification cards or public transport pass, in addition to the payment of the fine and ticket price, the Company may permanently seize the document.
